About Abigail

Abigail was born in Washington, DC to a political family. Her experience thinking through the opinions and worldviews of others informs her theatrical practice today.

Abigail graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2020, where she earned Latin honors after studying Drama, Mathematics, and Business. She spent the next year working remotely as an Artistic Direction Apprentice for San Francisco’s Magic Theatre. There, she developed a love for the collaboration and truthful creation of new play workshops.

After the apprenticeship ended, Abigail packed up and moved to New York, where she quickly became involved in a number of theatrical organizations, including:

People’s Theatre Project, a social justice and devised theatre company for immigrant artists

101 Productions, Broadway general management

Out of the Box Theatrics, an Off-Broadway production company committed to lifting the voices of marginalized communities

Abigail is also the Executive Producer, a company member, and a frequent director for Playground-NY, a playwright-focused new play incubator that produces new play festivals every month. Through the festival, Abigail has forged friendships and collaborative relationships with many early-career writers, helping some win awards and full-length commissions.

Other passions include her dogs, her rescue kitty Nico, buying books for her little cousins, and playing guitar with her brother and dad.
